The collar is a form of choke collar, which enables the owner to correct the dog when it behaves in the wrong manner. He helps dog owners give the dos commands, rules and limitations and assert their place as the pack leader. Cesar Milan does not believe that dogs should be hit or yelled at. He believes in correcting the dog, not punishing it. Instead, the owner needs to constantly reinforce their position as pack leader and stick with it as the behavior is modified and to prevent the old behavior from returning.There are a number of different techniques used by Cesar Milan.
