Prize MoneyThe prize money at dog shows varies depending on the type of dog show and the level and scope of the competition. International dog shows offer considerable prize money. The AKC/Eukanuba National Championship dispenses some $225,000 in prize money, for instance. Naturally amounts at smaller shows are less.The Expense of Showing DogsShowing dogs can be quite expensive. First of all, there is the cost of a dog, which is high for a champion quality bloodline.
